The Tulsa Glue Dobbers, Inc. was established in 1947, and is believed to be the oldest, continuously chartered, R/C (radio controlled) flying club in the country.  Our club is dedicated to the safe enjoyment of R/C flying in the Tulsa area. We are affiliated with the Academy of Model Aeronautics (AMA) founded in 1936, a national organization representing the interests of over 2,500 similar clubs around the country.

The Tulsa Glue Dobbers’ membership varies from 100 to 150 members ranging in age from eight to eighty. With this large membership comes a diversity of backgrounds and interests in all aspects of aviation. You’ll find members with particular interest in aerobatics, scale warbirds, electrics, and sailplanes. The one characteristic common to all members is the enjoyment we get from building, flying, and talking about our model aircraft.

Our flying facility, Grant Wilson Field, is located at 28th and Lynn Lane, in Tulsa, Oklahoma. The facilities include a paved runway, three sun shelters with electrical outlets, a club house, and bleachers for spectators. The field is open to the public if the gate is open, and is free for spectators.  On a good day when the wind is below 20 mph, you will likely find members out flying and who are happy to answer questions. Should you wish to join the club, click on the membership info link above, or contact us via our web site portal.

Come watch us fly or join in on the fun, you’ll be glad you did.

Happy Flying…
